This is another song which was written to an audience prompt for a Songwriters-in-the-Round (SITR): the December 2018 “Serendipity Songwriter Sessions” in Maynard MA. This time the prompt was “In 20 Years”. I wasn’t particularly inspired by looking 20 years into the future, so I went back about 3000 years to a famous 20 year period – The Odyssey – and considered the story from the point of view of the woman left at home, making up tales for her son.
